About Us
Our Team!
Toby
Owner / Chief Experience Operator
Toby was born and raised in northern British Columbia by a single father who taught him to fish and to respect the outdoors. His path to Cabo was a little circuitous and involved joining and serving in the US Army as an Infantryman for a good portion of his adult life. He is a highly decorated combat veteran who has spent more than a decade running non-profits committed to “Giving Back to those who Gave”. Toby’s passion for taking care of fellow veterans eventually led him to co-hosting a fishing event with local businesses. When one of those businesses came up for sale, Toby put together a team to purchase Mar Vida Sportfishing and is now living out his dream of being a professional in the fishing industry. Of course, if you ask Toby he will tell you he is not in the “Fishing Business” but actually in the “Good Memory Business” and hopes to become the Chief Memory Officer of this growing company.
