Depending on the conditions, or what you’re looking to target, we have a few different spots where we go to fish.
Take a look at our usual fishing grounds below:

If you caught some fish and you would like to bring it with you, no problemo!
The boat crew will take it (and you) to the Marina Fillet Station. The cost is between $3-$5 USD a fish. You can take the fish with you and bring it to the restaurant of your choice or cook it up yourself.
If you want to bring the fish back to the States, you bring the fish back to our office and we vacuum seal and freeze it at no additional cost. To bring the fish on the airplane, it has to be fully frozen and in an airline approved box or a cooler.
A good starting point for a Fishing Charter is 10%, however in many cases, with multiple fish caught, the average effort is higher and deserving of more.
There is always something to catch here in Cabo, it just depends on what you’re looking for.
Take a look at our Fishing Calendar below to see what is in season throughout the year.

We do not have a program to match anglers that are looking to share a boat. If you would like to find someone to split the cost, our recommendation would be to ask around where you are staying.
Yes, we recommend booking a half day. You will depart when you get here, usually around 8:30 am. You will be back at the marina at around 1:30 pm. You can come back earlier depending on the time you have to be back.
If you would like to talk to a member of Team Mar Vida, we would be happy to answer any questions you have. You can reach us from the US at 760-481-7667 or while in Cabo San Lucas at our local number 624-172-0085. You can also send us an email to info@redrumcabo.com and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can.

Excellent day, everything first class, no detail too small! Hot coffee and breakfast burrito upon arrival. Awesome crew: Juan, Chuy, and Rene were terrific! Hooked 4 marlin, landed 2 large... read more ones. Helluva fight from both! Lunch on board + plenty of water & beer. Good stories from and conversation with the crew. Highly recommend RedRum!!

Just back from second trip fishing with RedRum since July, and we had an excellent experience in all aspects. Great boats, crew, equipment, beverages and lunch. Newish owner... read more Toby (+/- 2 years) has ramped up the experience.
All 8 were CCA folks on 2 boats, and regulars with RedRum. Total catch was 35 Dorado, 13 striped Marlin, 14 yellowfin tuna, and one really nice sailfish.
I have personally fished with RedRum 8 or 9 times since 2014, and recommended RedRum to at least 4 groups that have all had an equally great experience.

Best in Cabo - Hands down one of the best chartered trips I have done. Captain Juan and crew gave me memories I will never forget. 20 minutes in and we hooked up with... read more a beautiful wahoo. Then continue out to look for tuna, and in no time find the pods of porpoises. Switch the gear and double up on smaller yellowfins. They continued to work and follow the porpoises and pick up two more yellows. And just as they were gonna pick up and switch gear for marlin, a tuna boil. Couldn’t get one of the 100+ lb that were jumping, but got one about 40. Trolled on the way back in and ended the day with a 150lb marlin.
Not only was the fishing amazing, so was the service. Breakfast burrito’s, water beer and sodas included. After fish cleaning they vacuum packed my catch and held it in their freezer at no extra charge. Will definitely fish with them again and highly recommend them to anyone who even talks about Cabo!

Went two days with Redrum Sport fishing and we did excellent on day one (14 tuna) and got skunked on day two. These guys work super hard to find... read more fish and don’t give up. We were pleased even on our zero day. We had very high & rough seas which likely affected our catch but it was still a blast. As they say, “it’s not catching, it’s fishing!” The entire staff worked to make our time special.

Fished two days with Redrum, one on LaNueva and one on 19’s toy. It was a great experience that started with a bang! First day produced a Blue Marlin early... read more in the morning on the one and only bite of the day! The second day was action packed, but the sea was extremely choppy and it was storming due to the hurricane. The port was going to close early in the day, however the crew still produced and with a quick limit of dorado the crew brought us back safe and sound. I have to mention it was on our return to the dock that I did have some trouble with the receptionist or maybe someone they would call their manager. As long as you stay clear from her you could have a great time! But if you do run into her your experience could go from a 5 out of 5 to just a 4! She is nasty, but the owner was an extremely nice guy who seemed genuine.
