Depending on the conditions, or what you’re looking to target, we have a few different spots where we go to fish.
Take a look at our usual fishing grounds below:

If you caught some fish and you would like to bring it with you, no problemo!
The boat crew will take it (and you) to the Marina Fillet Station. The cost is between $3-$5 USD a fish. You can take the fish with you and bring it to the restaurant of your choice or cook it up yourself.
If you want to bring the fish back to the States, you bring the fish back to our office and we vacuum seal and freeze it at no additional cost. To bring the fish on the airplane, it has to be fully frozen and in an airline approved box or a cooler.
A good starting point for a Fishing Charter is 10%, however in many cases, with multiple fish caught, the average effort is higher and deserving of more.
There is always something to catch here in Cabo, it just depends on what you’re looking for.
Take a look at our Fishing Calendar below to see what is in season throughout the year.

We do not have a program to match anglers that are looking to share a boat. If you would like to find someone to split the cost, our recommendation would be to ask around where you are staying.
Yes, we recommend booking a half day. You will depart when you get here, usually around 8:30 am. You will be back at the marina at around 1:30 pm. You can come back earlier depending on the time you have to be back.
If you would like to talk to a member of Team Mar Vida, we would be happy to answer any questions you have. You can reach us from the US at 760-481-7667 or while in Cabo San Lucas at our local number 624-172-0085. You can also send us an email to info@redrumcabo.com and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can.

We booked 3 days of fishing on the Red Rum. We have fished Cabo many times so we thought we knew what to expect. What we were impressed... read more with was the smooth operation of the Red Rum Team. From the reservation process with Tiffany to the morning of with Toby to the best crew I have fished with (Omar and Pedro) everyone was courteous, professional and put us on FISH!!!! Tiffany even arranged for us to get tested at the office when USA started requiring them 24 hours before departure. Vacuum sealing the fish after getting them filleted was a very nice touch.

Best in Cabo - Hands down one of the best chartered trips I have done. Captain Juan and crew gave me memories I will never forget. 20 minutes in and we hooked up with... read more a beautiful wahoo. Then continue out to look for tuna, and in no time find the pods of porpoises. Switch the gear and double up on smaller yellowfins. They continued to work and follow the porpoises and pick up two more yellows. And just as they were gonna pick up and switch gear for marlin, a tuna boil. Couldn’t get one of the 100+ lb that were jumping, but got one about 40. Trolled on the way back in and ended the day with a 150lb marlin.
Not only was the fishing amazing, so was the service. Breakfast burrito’s, water beer and sodas included. After fish cleaning they vacuum packed my catch and held it in their freezer at no extra charge. Will definitely fish with them again and highly recommend them to anyone who even talks about Cabo!

Best 4th of July ever! - A memorable day out in the water with family and the best crew in Cabo. Took a full day charter with Captain Erik and crew mates Jesus and Chuy (also... read more Jesus). These guys worked their asses off! Constantly communicating with the fleet and changing bait to ensure we got on fish and did we. We had a ton of bites and eventually brought in 5 Marlin to the deck. Saw a ton of sea life from dolphins to sharks. A memorable experience shared with family (3 generations). This one is up there and I’ll definitely be back.
A deserved shout out to Nicole (booking coordinator) - An absolute gem of a person. On top of the reservation as soon as I booked it and always responsive. I left my prescription glasses on the boat and didn’t notice until coming down off the high of the day. Nicole worked with me and was kind enough to do the leg work to deliver it to my resort. I’m extremely grateful for that extra attention to detail.
I can confidently say my experience with REDRUM will be one of many more to come. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
